John and Ryan
When Laura Finn met John Mazzola in 2018, she knew he would change her life but never thought he would also save her son’s life.
Laura was a divorced mom raising four children. Ryan, her youngest, was born with renal dysplasia, a condition where the kidneys do not mature or function well. She remembers the constant monitoring of Ryan’s progress, including how much he ate, how much he drank, how much he urinated. She gave him growth hormone shots every day. The hospital visits seemed endless.
