Get
Involved - Volunteer!
Volunteers
are a big part of the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, and we encourage
you to get involved. The
battle against kidney and urinary diseases is an ongoing one, and it is
through the
efforts of our volunteers that we continue to excel in our Vision Statement
of Making Lives Better.
Volunteers take part in many programs and services of the NKFM, including
our large roster of Special Events.
Renal Representatives make up the core of our Public
Policy efforts in educating legislators about issues relating to kidney
disease. And, we always welcome people to help spread the word about the
dangers of kidney disease through speaking and written materials. Our
Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory
Board are both made up of community minded volunteers, as well as
the Leadership Committees at our Branch Offices.
Every task our volunteers undertake is a critical one in our efforts.
We invite you to become a part of one of the largest voluntary health
organizations dedicated to Making Lives Better. For more information
about becoming an NKFM volunteer, contact
the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan at (800) 482-1455. You can
also contact any of our three Branch Offices
in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Mid-Michigan (Lansing).
