A toolkit for healthy teens and strong families.
Bodyworks is a program designed to improve family eating and activity habits. Bodyworks focuses on providing hands-on tools to make small, specific behavior changes to increase healthy eating and physical activity. It is family focused, but can be relevant to anyone who chooses and/or prepares meals for themselves or their families. There are 8 90-minute workshop sessions focusing on physical activity, healthy eating, cooking, shopping, reading nutrition labels, making healthy decisions and goal setting. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan has implemented Bodyworks in many different settings from schools, churches, and even senior living facilities.
